Vdownloader lets you download crap off of YouTube and Google Video and etc. and converts it into different formats like for iPod

Also, I think you should be able to press on the compressed box and it enlarges to show the full video window (like on Facepunch... lol we emulate facepunch a lot)

I do, because I like to see how my post looks in the thread. Sometimes I do Preview, but it isn't as accurate as the real thing.
