Avi to mpeg converter for youtube

I need a avi converter so i can turn all my avis into stuff for youtube, because my sister needs some help, and everytime i tried getting one using google, there was ethier a water mark or it didnt work, so I just bascially need a free simple converter. please help.

K thanks to nican i fund out where and got suer converter, so thank you. Now i can take these damm avis that my camera makes for my sister and make an mpeg for youtube. I am going to be an awsome youtuber i got the long emo hair
